Linguist, language aficionado, and IT enthusiast

Atilla Atasoy is a Swiss/Turkish linguist & conversational designer (BA in Linguistics; MSc in Clinical Linguistics; Ph.D. in Experimental Approaches to Language and Brain) currently working as a Digital Experience Manager at Swisscom (Switzerland).

His academic work and studies have covered the linguistic sub-fields of (i) historical linguistics with an emphasis on the Trans-Himalayan language family, (ii) (experimental) grammar writing with his work on the Kingdom of Bhutan’s national language of Dzongkha, (iii) aphasiology in investigating agrammatic aphasic speech in Turkish, and (iv) experimental linguistics working on information structure and focus in Turkish. 

His further professional interests include IT and IT support (Google IT Support Professional Certificate holder), machine learning (worked on decision tree classifiers to simulate agrammatic aphasic speech in Turkish), and conversational design for chat and voice bots.
